Announces 50 lacs for Bhattan, 50 lacs for Toilet and development of Gompa at Machail

Kishtwar, April 28 (KNO) : Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personal Grievances and Pensions, Deptt of Atomic energy and Deptt of Space, Dr Jitendra Singh today attended Gram Shakti Diwas programme at village Bhattan Nagseni. Minister of State for Transport, Sunil Kumar Sharma was also present on the occasion.

DDC Angrez Singh Rana, SSP Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, all disrtict/ Sectoral officers were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion of Gram Shakti Diwas, Dr. Jitendra said that the adopted village Bhattan lacks “Shakti " in accordance to Gram Shakti diwas but the present government is in process of implementing many central and state sponsored schemes here. He directed DDC Kishtwar to give priority to the implementation of seven schemes like Ujjwala, Saubhagya, mission Indradhanush, PMJDY, PMJJY, SBM in the village on priority and ensure 100% completion in a time bound manner. Dr Jitendra said we assure the people that all the basic amenities of life are provided so that the village becomes a model village.

He also enumerated the numerous welfare measures taken by the government in the past 4 years. Dr Singh announced Rs 50 lakh for development of village Bhattan under M.P fund, 25 lakh for construction of toilets at Machail and 25 lakh for development of Gompa (Machail) and urged the district administration to make the oncoming Machail yatra completely ODF. Dr Singh further added that the motive behind visiting the rural populace is the belief of government to redress their issues at door steps and ensure economic inclusion of all sections of the society on priority.

Sunil Sharma in his speech laid emphasis on importance of block Nagseni because of its close proximity to district headquarters and said that it has been given priority by present government to ensure development of this area. Sharma said that we are on the job of providing better road facilities in every nook and corner of the district besides other facilities at doorstep of people.

He counted various achievements like completion of Cheerji road, Cherji to Sunna Bhatta road, Chignana road, Pular road, sanctioning of Sports college in Bhagna, adequate funds under NRLM for women employment, allotment of dairy project, milk van and other. He further added that with the new Hydroelectric projects at Kiru, Kwar, Pakal Dool, the employment opportunities of the area will increase manifold.

Earlier DDC Angrez Singh Rana elaborated on the achievements in village Dimgi Bhattan and other parts of the district and ensured people that the benefit of various schemes meant for welfare of people shall percolate down to each and every person in the Later, the minister distributed the cheques and orders of various Pension schemes among the beneficiaries of social welfare department besides PDD deptt, regularised various household connection free of cost without depositing any security amount and also distributed LED bulbs.
